Homemade coffee body scrub DIY

Hi all!

Today I decided to share with you one of my all-time favourite homemade things, that's been highly requested and that I've been using for so long! So, today you will need:
  • 300 grams of ground organic coffee
  • 125 grams of brown sugar
  • 200 grams of coconut or olive oil
  • 80 grams finely ground sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 10 drops of rose hip oil (or other essential oils)
For the rose hip oil I use "crop" (I think that's what it's called) as it doesn't test on animals/ it's organic! You can buy in the skin care isle of coles :)
Let's get started!
  1. First thing you'll need to do is melt the coconut oil. To do this you will need to put a heat resistant bowl over the top of boiling water. Don't skip this step and heat it in the microwave as it won't be as effective when you use the scrub
  2. Then, measure out your organic ground coffee into a LARGE bowl and mix in, using your hands or a wooden spoon, the other dry ingredients: Cinnamon, sea salt, brown sugar.
  3. After doing so pour in your melted coconut oil, by now this will have cooled down a little but it would still be melted
  4. Using your hands, mix the coconut oil into the dry mixture until you get a dampened texture that is even throughout.
  5. Add your remaining ingredients and mix again with your hands.
  6. Put your mixture into an air-tight container or jar, this can be stored for up to around 4 weeks, keep out of water.

How to Use:
Take a handful of the scrub and rub in to your skin, focusing on areas such as blemishes, acne and stretch marks. Avoid getting in contact with eyes or open wounds as the lemon juice and salt will sting.
Once you're completely covered, wash your skin off and pat dry or air dry
Enjoy your smooth skin!
Benefits:
- the caffeine in coffee helps with circulation which helps eradicate stretch marks, cellulite and scars

- The salt and brown sugar exfoliate dead skin cells, eradicating dry skin
-Rose hip oil is my life product, it is super moisturizing and helps to lessen the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, wrinkles and more over time
-Lemon juice helps brighten your skin
- Let's face it- cinnamon is amazing, not only does it smell and taste delicious, but it lightly exfoliates and helps with acne (and eczema) because it improves blood circulation
